Everything seems to be centered around money these days. This economy crisis is more than probably most people bargained for. It’s a never-ending saga of having or not having that is putting tons of stress, emotionally and financially on many of us. People all over the world are searching for ways for saving, cost-cutting, and stretching their finances so that they won’t feel the strain too much.
One of the most effective ways that you can save and, potentially get more for your buck, is to become more resourceful and to find alternative uses for things. By doing this, families can experience success when it comes to saving, cost-cutting, conserving, and finding ways to buy for cheap during this economy crisis. It’s become the norm in families around the world, and in many families, an absolute necessity.
There is something that most of us take for granted that has the potential to save your family quite a bit of cash. Just look in your fridge and you are sure to find a number of different staples such as ketchup, vinegar, and olive oil. These basic condiments have the makings for savings. Here’s what they can do for you:
Olive oil is a pretty standard ingredient that most people have in their fridge. There are so many uses for it that can help your family to save money. First of all, in addition to the good that it does your digestive system, it’s wonderful for hair. So, instead of spending money tons of money on high priced hair conditioners, buy for cheap a bottle of olive oil and watch it work it’s magic on your follicles.
It’s not just people that can benefit from this ancient oil, your cat could be healthier and happier too. Olive oil is perfect for keeping those hairballs at bay. That could greatly reduce the need to buy hairball tonics. Just buy for cheap a handy dandy bottle of olive oil and watch your cat purr with delight!
Slather your metal chargers and knick knacks with a little ketchup for a fabulous shine. Either get some packets free from the nearest burger place or buy for cheap the generic brand of ketchup at the market. Squirt a bit and rub. You’ll save and smile, because you didn’t pay for an expensive metal polish, as you watch your metal objects twinkle in the light.
Vinegar works wonders! From making your laundry smell even cleaner to cleaning windows, vinegar is a hard working condiment that you can buy for cheap. A whole gallon may only cost you $2! To make the window cleaner, just add a few tablespoons to about a gallon of water. You should have plenty to last for months! Plus, it’s environmentally friendly.
Check your fridge for these handy and powerful condiments that can do double and triple duty in your home. During this economy crisis, every little bit helps and every bit that you can stretch is absolutely worthwhile for your family’s budget!

Coupons are one of the best ways to save money on items that you regularly purchase. You can find discount coupons in your local newspaper, or download coupons online from specialty coupon sites. I like the later method best, since I can target exactly the type of items I need at that particular point in time, and see what is available.
With coupons, you can save on food items, household cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, over the counter health products, paper goods and much more.
Watch for in-store specials too. For example, some supermarkets will have certain items that are buy one get one free and so on. Don't miss out if it is something that you will use and enjoy.
